League History

The JCC Floor Hockey League was started in 1977 at the south JCC facility in Toronto for the purpose of playing indoor gym floor hockey and having fun. Members are expected to respect the rights of all players to participate in a safe and enjoyable manner and to ensure that all players have, as much as possible, equal playing time within the house league environment.

Each season player registration through JCC Sports is processed on a first come first serve basis.

Games are played with a Dom solid plastic stick, plastic blade, grey felt puck, and as 4 players on 4 players with goalies on each team. Two 25-minute halves are played with a 5-minute break between halves and a 5-minute warm up between games.

A Certified Referee monitors each game, and the league has a Rules document as a reference.
